The METRO Campaign

Brief - Transport for Wales will be introducing the new Metro system in the Welsh capital, Cardiff, and surrounding areas.


They need a new brand identity and social media campaign that targets all uses of public transport. The brand needs to be unique to Wales, as this service is specific to the country. The campaign needs to make the audience aware of the Metro system and why they should use it over other public transport services.


The research conducted on the audience found that they would use the new service as they have a positive outlook on public transport.


Comments included:

"Less impact on the environment"


Cheaper than driving"

"Opportunity to relax"


As a result of the comments, I made the decision to create a brand that merges a recognisable icon with typography. The brand I created uses the symbol of a train stop as the stem of the 'T'.
